Evelyn Hoefer
MA, Marriage and Family Therapy Clinician

Hello! As the oldest of four, I often joke that my career in therapy began long before my formal training. I am a certified SYMBIS (Save Your Marriage Before It Starts) facilitator and earned my master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University.

Growing up in a deeply German Catholic family, I’ve experienced firsthand how faith and culture shape our identity, relationships, and the stories we carry. I now specialize in working with couples, families, and individuals navigating relational conflict, transitions, and emotional distress. This has led me to support clients across cultures, premarital and long-term couples, families navigating neurodiversity, and individuals experiencing later-life transitions. Clients tend to describe me as warm, holistic, and deeply empathetic, yet able to hold accountability and challenge when needed.

I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Experiential approaches, and Systems Theory. These frameworks help us improve communication, identify relational patterns, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and engage in meaningful activities that build connection. I am passionate about collaboration and integration—drawing on your feedback, strengths, and faith as desired.

I particularly enjoy working with couples, families, and individuals who desire change but aren’t sure where to start or feel unable to fully express themselves. My hope is that you feel understood and supported, and leave therapy feeling more empowered and authentically yourselves. If this resonates with you, I’d love to connect and explore whether we might be a good fit.
